How to merge Teams attendance reports for a recurring meeting
Microsoft Teams creates one attendance report per session. There is no built-in series or monthly report, so people end up merging CSV files.
Option 1 — by hand
- Open the meeting in the Teams calendar and go to the Attendance tab; pick each session and download its report.
- Put the files in one workbook, align names or e-mail addresses, and add up the minutes per session.
- Watch for people who joined twice or from two devices (overlapping times must not be added twice) and for guests who appear with different names.
Option 2 — automate it
Series Attendance Roster reads the reports through Microsoft Graph with your permission as the organizer, merges overlapping join/leave times per session, applies your completion rule and keeps an archive beyond Microsoft's 50-report window. Join the waitlist.
Good to know
- Only the organizer can access attendance reports.
- Reports disappear if the organizer leaves the organization.
- Admins can hide join/leave times or let attendees opt out.
