Teams attendance report for a recurring meeting
A recurring Teams meeting does not get one report for the whole series: Microsoft says each instance of the series has its own attendance report. Here is where to find them and what they leave out.
Find and download a session's report
- In Teams, open Chat and the chat of the past meeting.
- Select the Attendance tab and choose Download to get a .csv file.
- Repeat for every session. Microsoft says the report appears in the event chat about five minutes after the event ends (Manage meeting attendance reports).
Who can see it, and when it is missing
- Only organizers and co-organizers can view and download attendance reports. Co-organizers can do so only for events scheduled in Teams, not in Outlook (Microsoft Support).
- The organizer must leave Allow attendance report switched on in the meeting options (Microsoft Support). Your admin controls whether reports are available at all (Teams admin policy).
- Microsoft lists known gaps: view-only attendees are not included, and people who wait in the lobby and are never admitted are not included (known issues).
- Attendees can hide their identity with the Identify me in attendance reports setting, depending on the admin policy (Include attendees in the report).
Turning many reports into one table
For a course, a team ritual or a compliance record you usually want one row per person and one column per session. By hand that means opening every report, matching names or e-mail addresses and adding minutes up; people who joined twice or from two devices need their overlapping times merged, not added.
Series Attendance Roster does this for the meetings you organize. You sign in with your own Microsoft account, pick a recurring meeting, and it collects the reports through Microsoft Graph (List meetingAttendanceReports), merges overlapping times and shows every person across every session. Guests without an account are matched by display name and flagged for you to check; hidden durations are shown as undetermined, never as zero.
